An essential business service updated to have a streamlined purchasing experience, and an informative online presence.
Progressive Business Compliance had been selling businesses legal compliance posters over a decade. These are the posters that every business is required to hang in full view of the employees detailing their legal rights and obligations. PBC also provided a subscription service to these businesses to mail out poster updates every time the law was changed. A convenient service but, the old site was becoming an inconvenience to customers.
By 2019 the site was showing its age and sales were being lost. So along with a revamp of the site store and cartflow, the business decided to modernize its brand as well.
The brand brief had been established with the name Resourceful Compliance already in mind. I designed a simple, sturdy, and reassuring logo that could be applied to the physical poster products, packaging as well as digital marketing materials.
Color palette chose the calming assurance provided by teals and greens - that also provided contrast from our competitors visual identities. Aktiv Grotesk provided a more modern, practical typeface that maintained quality from its thinnest to thickest font.
The simple linear logo design was extended into the icon set developed for the site.
Wireframing and design were handled in Adobe Xd, with design exported to the dev team using the Anima plugin.
The cartflow was designed and developed with testing and modularity in mind, a capability we did not previously have.
After the site was launched, the marketing team was able to pull information on site time and cart abandonment, seeing where trouble was and giving me information I needed to quickly redesign the pain points and test for improvement. Some of these discoveries included reducing the size of and frequency of the price, greatly reduced cart abandonment, and simplifying the form entry to a single scrollable page improved the likelihood of conversion.

Essential to the rebrand and site redesign was creating a collection of informative infographic hub pages built around high-volume search terms related to state and federal regulations; a Labor Law guide page for every US state, a comprehensive Federal and State minimum wage guide page, and a 2020 elections and the minimum wage page, I was responsible for the layout and visualization of these pages.
I am always interested in opportunities to create something new.
